    We booked the Sicilian Lunch with Wine Tasting, online through their website. When we arrived at the winery we were warmly greeted by our host Angela who took us around the place and explained the history of the winery and every corner we visited in much detail. For lunch, we were served with a mixture of Sicilian plates and these were shared amongst the guests. The courses were tasty and accompanied by a different type of wine, 4 wines in total. Angela came to serve the wine and explain the wine's origin. Following lunch, we were given a map of the estate and were left to walk around at our pleasure and pace along the dedicated footpaths. The staff were all very welcoming and this tour is recommended to get a taste of Sicilian platters, wine and hospitality.

    At fault of our own, my family missed our flight from Rome to Catania, then when we arrived hours later, had to wait on our delayed luggage. We were 3 families with 2 babies that didn't get to our AirBNB until 5pm--the winery closed at 6. I had next to no service, plus phone calls are very expensive. I messaged the people via Viator about our travel plans gone wrong and that we wouldn't make it (again, not our fault). They didn't respond and are denying me a refund. I asked in advanced to this winery if there was leeway if we unexpectedly had a flight delay, cancellation, etc., and they seemingly were understanding but when it came to refunding us, they ghosted me. Don't book with this winery! And be cautious using Viator.

    I booked the Sicilian lunch with wine tasting as an early birthday present for my husband. This was our third visit to Sicily but our first time visiting Etna Urban Winery. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the wines we tasted were stellar. We loved the humor and energy of Angela, our hostess for the tour and the lunch. She kept everything very mellow and down-to-earth, so it didn't feel formal or stuffy. The setting is beautiful and the proximity to Catania was a plus. If you're visiting Catania and you want a day trip that includes delicious food and wine, this is the one for you.

    We visit this place with friends and it was just so lovely. Eventhough the eastet itself is not typical vineyard - big clasical vineyards as it is quite new i must admit that place with the old house is just magical. Like in fairy tale…lots of flowers and the view on Etna. We were excited about the story of the estate and history itself. The lady who was the guide present everything in details and the highlight of the trip is the house inside…really old and just beautiful! At the end they served us with delicious lunch and good wine. Highly recommend this experience.

    I hesitate to share this review because selfishly I do not want the world to know about this absolute gem. The experience was like something out of a dream from start to finish. We were celebrating a hen's and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The charm of this beautiful place captures the Sicilian dream but it is the staff that truly make this experience unique. Their passion for the work they do is infectious and we were treated like absolute queens. The wines were exquisite and the food pairings were unlike anything I have ever had before. I left my heart at this place but I will definitely be visiting again. I don't know how people aren't lining up out the door for this experience as it is dirt cheap for what you get and truly the experience of a lifetime! Bravissimo!

    Some of the best memories in Sicily are made around a long table. We’ll welcome you to our family’s urban winery, a hidden green oasis between the city of Catania and Mount Etna that has belonged to our family for eight generations.Our lunch is inspired by the traditional Sunday meals that bring Sicilian families together. Dishes are served for sharing, allowing you to taste a variety of local recipes while enjoying four Etna wines that express the unique volcanic character of our territory. Whether you’re travelling alone, as a couple, with friends or with family, you’ll find yourself gathered around one long table where strangers often leave as friends. After lunch, there’s no schedule to follow. You’re invited to explore the vineyards freely, walk among the vines, relax in the gardens or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Children can continue the adventure with our Treasure Hunt map, searching for hidden stone animals scattered throughout the estate. We look forward to welcoming you. Arrive at 12:45 for registration.     Etna Urban Winery

    A traditional Sicilian lunch with our grandma’s recipes, served in a shared table in the winery’s courtyard (or tasting room in case of adverse weather conditions). The lunch will consist of antipasti (starters) primo (pasta or rice mail course) and secondo (meat or fish based main course) accompanied with the tasting of our red Vigna Grande along with other three Etna wines (sparkling, white and rose). Several of the served meals are suitable for vegetarians guests. After the tasting, you will have the possibility to visit the urban vineyards and the 1790 historical family winery, or just relax and unwind in our gardens. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time of the experience registration and quick introduction. Lunch will be served at 1pm sharp. In case of visiting with babies, childrens or dogs let us know in advance.
