    I was very pleasantly surprised I by this Palace. I didn't know much about the regalia family. I received my tickets and indications on WhatsApp. The guide had a lot of knowledge. Clearly it's a hidden gem.

    You can buy the tickets yourself directly at the ticket office and save a lot of money. The price was only 50 lei for a guided tour in English, and 40 lei unguided. That is only about $11.62 and $9.30 USD. Cotroceni itself is magnificent...don't miss! If you like taking lots of pics, go for the unguided tour so you can take your time. If you want guided, be on time for any English language tours. These are only at specific times, but if you miss it you can still do one in Romanian or self guided. The entrance is a good walking distance up the street from the Botanical Gardens, so make sure your taxi or Uber knows where to go....mine didn't and I missrd rhe English language tour. Also, there is a bakery, coffee shop and a few restaurants down the street if you get hungry. The Botanical Gardens need to be refurbished in some parts, but also worth a visit.
