Iai is a Japanese martial art of drawing the sword unannounced. Through this class, experience the art of Iaido with the largest organization in Japan, the Hougyokukai, which legitimately teaches Mugai Ryu. Mugai Ryu has a 340-year history and is famous for the Shinsengumi. Start your experience by changing into the proper Iaido uniform and being introduced to its art as you begin your practice. You will learn how to draw your sword and hold it properly, as well as how to perform all the correct movements. You are going to have the chance to put your skills to the test and cut a dummy! Following your experience observe a demonstration of the master's skill. At the end of your experience receive a Certificate of Completion for participating.
