Captain Noah and Tiff were great. Boat was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We saw so many whales and had a really wonderful experience. Highly recommend

We had such a great time! Tiff and Noah were amazing guides. They told us so much about the whales and pointed out differences in the ones we saw. We saw one whale breach, and several others smacking their tails on the water and spouting through their blowholes! Toward the end of the trip we even saw a new baby whale and its mother. Bonus was the guides dropping the mic in the water so we could hear the whales singing. Do not miss this tour!!! We are definitely going to come back!!

Couldn't be happier with our family Whale watching adventure with Makai adventures. The small group allows for the ability to ask a lot of questions and the crew were friendly, professional and most importantly knew exactly where to go to find us many sightings, including one very close encounter literrally right under our boat. I felt the other whale watching boats nearby were following Makai's lead. Location was easy to find. Thank you to the crew and for the entire Makai experience, would do it again!

I've been on over a dozen whale watching tours in Maui and this outfit did the best job. Allison and Elijah were friendly, fun and knowledgeable during our 2 hour adventure leaving out of the Mala wharf. The boat was a 33' fiberglass hull that zipped us out off of Lahaina in no time. Every seat was great and they maneuvered it so everyone got to see whales up close and personal. They did a wonderful job keeping the boat next to all the "action" throughout the trip. They made suggestions for those who thought they might get queezy on where to sit and answered all questions with enthusiasm.

Rated lower as we didn't get off to a good start. My mom wasn't feeling well that afternoon and so wasn't able to go with us. The guy that checked us in wouldn't refund us for her portion as we didn't give them enough notice of cancellation. When we got back to our hotel, we ended up taking her to the ER and they admitted her in the hospital. It is 4 days later and she is still in the hospital and we don't see her getting out anytime soon. Would have expected a bit more compassion and understanding. The tour itself was good. We saw a fair amount of whales and the crew on the boat was good.

Aloha! Our group whale watching tours are fun for all ages and a great opportunity to experience seeing the Humpback Whales for yourself! Check in at MALA BOAT RAMP a MINIMUM of 15 MINUTES PRIOR to your tour time. It will be a barefoot cruise! Easy to remove footwear like flip flops are best. After a quick safety briefing, we will head out to find the most active whales. Our Captain and Crew will share their knowledge of the whales and are happy to answer any questions you may have. We do our best to provide the most personalized and exciting tours possible, but it's also important to realize that these amazing animals deserve a great amount of respect. We follow all regulations regarding distances, approach limits and make a big effort to avoid participating in any overcrowding of their space. Wear what's comfortable, make sure you have space on your camera and that the battery is charged and come out ready to have a good time!
