The house was originally a rural building from the late eighteenth century, owned by the Ricci Gramitto family, ancestors of the writer's maternal side. Here, Caterina Ricci Gramitto, Luigi's mother, had taken refuge to escape the serious cholera epidemic that was raging in Sicily in 1867. The museum itinerary includes 6 exhibition halls. Each room is dedicated to a different theme, like stages of a journey through the life, works and imagination of Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936). Cost of the entrance ticket 4.00 euros. 2.00 euros for citizens under the age of 18 of the European community and non-EU citizens.

A splendid dazzling white jewel that frames the clear blue of the sea is the Scala dei Turchi. One of the favorite destinations of southern summers, thanks to its conformation with soft, rounded and irregular lines and to the color of its "cold" white cliff. On the beach adjacent to the Scala dei Turchi, reachable by land from the east side, you can stop freely and take a dip. It is possible to go down to the beach along a ladder and a small road downhill, or you can take advantage of the shuttle service (not always available). The remaining tour time will be used to travel between attractions.
