Tower of Fokea The Tower of Fokea or Tower of Agios Pavlos lies on the top of the hill at the right side of Nea Fokea’s port in Halkidiki and is the landmark of the village. It is the only of the numerous monastic towers in Halkidiki that is preserved in its original height. The tower has a basis that covers a surface of ca. 50 sq.m., a height of 17 meters and it was made of materials came mainly from the adjacent ancient site. The date of construction is not known but it was probably built around 1407 when the Byzantine emperor John Palaiologos donated the area of ​​the present village to the monastery of Agios Pavlos of Mount Athos. The Byzantine tower guarded the great subordinate of the monastery. During the Greek revolution in 1821, the tower was used as the headquarters of the leader of the Greek War of Independency in Halkidiki, Emmanouil Papas. Next to it stands the small church of Agioi Apostoloi (Holy Apostles), built in 1868.

Afitos or Athitos is a traditional village in Kassandra Halkidiki which is located 83 km away from Thessaloniki. It has an amazing view of Toroneos gulf as the village is built on a hill above the coast. Most houses are built of stone with an excellent architecture. Small squares, cobbled streets and traditional taverns create a beautiful scenery totally harmonized with the natural landscape. Visitors also have the opportunity to admire the unique architecture of the church of St. Demetrius which was built in 1859 and it is located in the central square and also mansions and the famous sculptures of Vassilis Pavlis. In the village center you will find the folklore museum which houses various art exhibitions such as tools and utensils used in the past by local residents.

Possidi village got its name in the honor of the God “Poseidon” and it is also known that there is a headland on the western side of the peninsula which was called as Poseidonio and that area belonged to ancient Mendi. In Possidi, at the tip of a small peninsula jetting out into the west and where the remaining of the Temple of Poseidon is located, the horizon streches into the distance, offering views of the highest mountain in Greece, Olympus mounatin. It's a seasonal settlement with a range of nice hotels and guest houses as well as beach bars, small typical tavernas and ouzo bars to taste fresh seafood and drink special homemade wine.

Siviri is considered to be one of the finest vacation spots on the southwest peninsula of Kassandra and is renowned for its abundance of deep green fauna. The settlement has many traditional tavernas, beach bars, cafes, etc. Siviri is always cool and ideal for an evening stroll, family activities and getting a dose of culture while on vacation.
