Pazari i Ri
Our guide will take you to New Bazaar, the place to experience everything like a local. From local street food, antique shops, fresh fruits and colorful buildings is what you will experience. There is one thing you should know about Albanians – coffee is a way of living. If you ever wondered what can you add in your ‘Things to do in Tiranë’ list, you should consider coffee your number one activity. The coffee culture is responsible for ranking Albania as the second country in the world with the highest number of coffee shops per inhabitant. You can grab a freshly made coffee and be ready for the day!
Rruga Murat Toptani
Tirana is a mashup of old and new with a pleasant chaotic vibe. Not far from the New Bazaar within a 5 minute walk, you will face the Castle of Tirana now open to visitors as the newest public space. You will have a chance to buy some of the best albanian souvenirs inside the Castle.
Our guide will walk you up to Bllok area, previously an exclusive neighborhood for the leaders of the communist regime. Bllok is now a lively area offering a considerable number of bars, restaurants and shops.
On your way to the little “Soho” of Tirana ( Bllok), you will walk towards the Pyramid’, built in 1988 as a museum for Enver Hoxha, the dictator of the period (The Pyramid is currently under construction, therefore you may not be able to have a closer look)
If you are keen to know the turbulent history of the Albanians, this is the place to visit. The National History Museum is the most important museum in Albania and contains a well-documented history of the country. The tickets cost around 5$ per adult. Our guide can help you purchase the tickets.
