    Our guide, Alessia was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the Caserta royal palace history.     My tour to the Royal palace of caserta was so interesting. I went on this tour as just another tour to see the palace but came away with an interesting cultural insight on the historical value of this palace thanks to our tour guide Gilda. ◦ She was exceptional. You could feel the excitement and pride of the rich legacy of the palace in the exuberance in which she enthusiastically explained to us its history, significance of the frescoes and it’s artifactual history. I realized Visiting this site without a guide would not be as fulfilling. If it wasn’t for her i would have come away with nothing more than just another tour of another site to visit. She was knowledgeable and explained everything in detail, she made my visit to this palace worthwhile.

    Royal Palace of Caserta

    During this tour you will visit the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta designed by Luigi Vanvitelli and finished in 1774. This is the biggest palace in Europe and no less splendid and luxurious than Versaille or Escorial. Inside the palace you’ll see the grand staircase with 116 steps and marble statues, the Palatine Chapel with beautifully painted vaults, apartment of the neapolitan King, as well as Court Opera theater.
