Red House, Vaduz

The Red House is one of the oldest houses in Vaduz. It was first mentioned in documents in 1338. 1525 acquired the monastery of St. John in the Thur valley, the house and vineyard for 758 guilders. After almost 300 years, the estate was sold again in 1807. Since then it has been owned by the Rheinberger family. In the back of the house is the wine press, the Torkelbaum, an oak trunk, in the winter of 1483/84 was proven fell. The wine press is still functional today The spacious cellar vaults offered space for the storage of 20,000 liters of wine.

Hofkellerei of the Prince of Liechtenstein

The princely vineyard "Herawingert", with its 4 hectares of vineyards is the most traditional and important vineyard in Vaduz. It is considered the centerpiece of viticulture in the Principality and has been in the possession of the Princely House since 1712.
