What to expect

We will introduce you to the authentic traditional Namibian meals that are prepared and eaten on a daily basis. We will start to teach you how to make the staple food "pap" - a porridge made from Mahangu. During the preparations you will learn about farming and storage of Mahangu. In addition, we will prepare not only classic beef on a "braai" (=BBQ) but adventurous guest can try various delicacies such as goat head (known as "Smilie") or Mopane worms. For vegatarian guests we can prepare local spinach and Marula fruits. Most important you will meet Namibians in their homes and will be able to exchange stories over some local beers and traditional drinks. The activity is perfect to experience authentic Namibian culture. Children are very welcome.
