    You know it is going to be good when the wine making tour and tasting is lead by one of the wine makers themselves. A very passionate man who loves making and experimenting with wine making techniques, and it shows in the wines. We chose the Premier tasting of wines made in the Armenian fashion. So not to have wasted my time at University, I joined the Wine tasting/ appreciation society and know a little about wines. The wines we tasted were consistently good or very good wines. It was a pleasure to sit down to discover and explore each wine with the man who made them. One of the best tasting experiences I have had anywhere in the world. Thoroughly recommend.

    We stopped by on the way to Goris to grab their famous lunch (got the brochure from The Club, their restaurant in Yerevan) and taste some of the wines we didn't try in the capital. The stairs that lead to the tasting room are called "Stairway to Heaven". The sign on the tasting room says "The angels will be with you in a minute" or smth like that. You get the idea - this place loves to have fun. We learned a lot about the village, its wines. And yes, the wines are exceptional too. Don't forget to taste the wines! :)

    I've loved Trinity wines for a long time, but I've been to the winery quite recently. The atmosphere of the winery is literally immersed in a special world of harmony and history, every detail is filled with deep meaning and philosophy. We were greeted by the smiley co-founder of Owakim Winery. He led the tour with such enthusiasm that it was impossible to resist the spell of the place. I also met the talented winemaker Komitas - a very positive and interesting interlocutor with a tremendous sense of humor! Thank you so much for the great mood and the posh wine!

    In The Club, where they have Trinity Wine Cellar in Yerevan, we were given a brochure with vineyard tasting program at the Trinity itself. We were going to Noravank and the Bird Cave (Areni-1), so it was not far. Great experience. It's small, very rustic, like going into someone's backyard. But the winery is state of the art with amazing wines. The winemaker was on hand to give us a tour and tell their story.

    A rustic winery right by the main highway that leads to Jermuk, Tatev and Goris. I had their wines at their restaurant in Yerevan, called The Club, and was intrigued. We had a great tasting and a tour of the small vineyard and the winery. I will be back!
