What to expect
Kahe Point Beach Park
Experience the wonder of Oahu's Electric Beach on our snorkeling tour! Located on the west shore of the island, this popular dive site is situated directly in front of a power plant. After entering from the beach, a short 50-meter swim past the breakers will lead you to the vibrant underwater world waiting below. You'll have the opportunity to explore three main areas: the pipe line, the north reef, and the south reef. You'll see starfish, schools of fish, turtles, pufferfish, shark caves, reefs, and even a secret underwater Buddha statue. Keep an eye out for the white-tip reef sharks that hang out in the caves, but don't get too close. For beginners, the south reef is an easier route to take, with an abundance of small turtles and shallow reefs to explore. keep your eyes peeled for an array of marine life, including sea turtles, spinner dolphins, eagle rays, eels, lobsters, octopus, and more. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a breaching humpback whale in the winter.
Ma'ili Beach Park
The Pink Pillbox hike on Oahu is a popular and relatively easy hike, with stunning views of the Waianae coast and mountains. The trail, also known as the Maili Pillbox or the Pu'u O Hulu Trail, takes hikers up a well-maintained path to a series of old military pillboxes, painted pink and decorated with colorful graffiti. The hike is a great option for those looking for a short but rewarding outdoor adventure, and it can be completed in about an hour or less.
