It is a long trip from Istanbul for a short visit. Something as popular and interesting as Troy should have a museum aside the archeological site. A museum that shows the life in ancient times.

A very enjoyable day trip to Troy from Istanbul. The journey is quite long but we stopped twice which was nice. There was also a ferry from Europe to Asia and back which had some nice views. The history of Troy is very interesting and not just about a wooden horse or Helen of Troy! We were treated to a wonderful tour and we learnt so much!
