For the past 50 years, San Diego Comic-Con has created one of the biggest, most popular conventions of its kind in the world. But the organizers of Comic-Con wanted to do even more to recognize fans and spread the magic of Comic-Con. They imagined a place where fans could come together to celebrate the things they love, not just for a few days each summer, but all year long. A place where the public could learn about areas of art and pop culture of which they may not even be aware. A space where everyone is included, where old fans and new could enjoy the passion, creativity, and imagination of Comic-Con, while learning about science, technology, art, storytelling and much more. Now, with the help of fans like you, that dream will soon become reality.

Timken Museum of Art

Spanish Village Art Center

(Pass by)

The Spanish Art village was originally constructed in 1935 for the California Pacific International Exposition, it designed as a colorful vibrant small courtyard meant to invoke the feeling of being transported to a country village in Spain. Today it is a thriving community of artisans, everything from blacksmiths to glass-blowers to basket weavers.

La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove is a small cove with a beach that is surrounded by cliffs in La Jolla, San Diego, California. Point La Jolla forms the south side of the cove. The area is protected as part of a marine reserve and is popular with snorkelers, swimmers and scuba divers.

Children's Pool

Children's Pool in La Jolla was originally an area in San Diego designated for children to swim. In 1932, a seawall was built to protect the shore from oncoming waves, making it the ideal spot for children to paddle without danger. While the Children's Pool in La Jolla provides a swimming spot suitable for children, the conditions also prove to be idylic for harbor seals and sea lions. Seal Rock, which is located just north of the beach is home to hundreds of seals, and its close proximity to the Children's Pool La Jolla has increased seal interest in the pool area. Seals have since come to the La Jolla Children's Pool to bathe, bask and even give birth to their seal pups.

Judy showed us everything we wanted to see and so much more! She was prompt, courteous, professional and kind. Highly recommend! 10/10

Overpriced for what we saw. Nice enough guide but could not get much information. She answered questions but I could see where she’d be much better hiking or on Segway tours. We sat in the back of a van but she did not offer the front seat for better views. She stopped for us to use the rest room and get smoothies. We would probably have gotten better information from a hop on bus at a fraction of the price. Felt disconnected to what we were seeing. Way overpriced for essentially a taxi ride. No real connection with the history and evolution of San Diego.

Second time booking with this company. Communication is spot on, drivers are on time and tour is exactly as advertised. This time Kevin took us to areas of San Diego we had not seen before including Cabrillo National Monument where we had stunning views. We also explored Sunset Cliffs, OB, Liberty Station and Shelter Island. It has been a long, dark winter, so it was great to see beautiful scenery and the SUN! Thank you!

Our driver, Judy, was very knowledgeable and had a wealth of information at her fingertips. The Cadillac Escalade was a very nice car, however, Judy couldn't figure out how to stop the heat from blasting us.

A great way to see the city in a short amount of time! Driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. Snacks and water provided. Luxury vehicle for our trip. It’s nice having a private tour to spend as much time or as little time at locations.

An amazing tour with Judy, she was very knowledgeable about the region and was a great conversationalist. We had a good chat first up to clarify our expectations, and she delivered 110%. What a fabulous way to orientate ourselves to San Diego.

Jeff was an amazing tour guide. He took us to the outskirts of San Diego up into the surrounding mountains with magnificent vistas and small towns that were picture perfect. If you have the time, you must take this tour

Joan_H

Would not hesitate recommending this private tour. Jeff our guide and driver was considerate of us as seniors and my husband's lack of mobility. He adapted our tour accordingly. We were picked up punctually and dropped off at our hotel in Coronado. Jeff was courteous and very knowledgeable of the history of all the sites visited and viewed from the van. A few of the highlights for us included Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial in La Jolla and Balboa Park. It was a well spent and enjoyable four hours for us.

Jeff our tour guide, is an incredibly knowledgable, kind and thorough guide, who shared many stories about the places we visited. He knows a lot of San Diego history, and that made such a wonderful difference in our trip. We didn’t just “see" San Diego, we truly “experienced" it. The tour is so comprehensive: It includes San Diego City neighborhoods, Coronado Bridge and Island (and the Hotel Del), Balboa Park, La Jolla, Mt Soledad. We could not have asked for anything more. The tour van was comfortable, water and snacks were provided, and we always stopped at prime locations to see the sights. Kenny, the owner, truly cares about his guests having a first rate experience, and he and Jeff delivered a 10 star day! Thank you so much for such a great experience; we are already looking forward to our next visit and booking another tour.
