    This is such a diverse and interesting museum. So many cultures around the world are represented. Plan plenty of time to enjoy all the amazing collections.

    We were last at the V&A several years ago, so it was a delight for us to have a return visit. We enjoyed the permanent exhibits and had a delicious tea and cakes at the Café. The only odd thing is that BOTH sets of elevators were not working when we were there. Since I had some knee issues, I therefore wasn't able to venture above the ground floor. However, my husband did hit the steps to see the pottery and glass floors.

    Visited London on several occasions but rarely had the chance to visit the museum. Need more than 2 hours to have a good view of sculpture, painting and other interesting pieces of art. The central garden provides an excellent area for rest and relaxation, especially for families with children. Recommended.

Keep in mind that the length of The V&A‘s halls where collections encompassing a wide array of mediums and cultures, from ancient history to contemporary design, covering Europe, North America, Asia, and North Africa are displayed is over 8 miles (about 13 km); so to fully explore this fantastic museum you may need a full day and strong legs.

    We had a fantastic time touring the museum with Anthony. He is a wealth of knowledge, and the museum is so huge and quite impressive. He took us to some things we would not have seen on our own. It is worth it.
