    I am a 36 year old woman but the VR game was so much fun 😀 The museum had lots of interesting information on the Viking history and the shop had many cool things to buy.

    We arrive as they were just opening. We were able to enjoy the experience without much interference. Took a few minutes to figure out the digital process, but once we understood how everything worked it was great. Really enjoyed the information and how it was delivered. So glad we didn’t do this with the ship’s excursion (too many people to use too few resources in the “museum”. Highly recommend it!

    It is not so much a museum, but rather a place of experience. In a dark cellar-like room, limited information is given about the Vikings. Often using audiovisual and 3D techniques. Quite nice, but not very special. The real highlight is a VR experience. With glasses on, in a moving chair, you travel with the Vikings. Well executed in 360 degrees. An experience for children, but I won't go there again.

    As the real Viking museum is closed until 2026 we thought to visit the digital one. Well done museum with lots of different digital innovations and information. They have holograms of Viking people, films and green screens. The VR movie was not as good as I had thought but was still nicely made. Not as shocking as they describe on their website.

    We came here as a bit of a novelty but absolutely loved it. It was better than any museum (we visited a couple of those in Oslo) simply because you learn through watching and doing instead of just reading. Pay for the game - it's really fun! Start the day at 10am with the game, then work your way clockwise round the room for the best experience. P.S. the gift shop had very sturdy umbrellas!
