    This was a fantastic way to learn about and enjoy the local Portuguese cuisine. The trip to the market was informative and fun and the cookery school is modern and clean with a great set up for enjoying watching and joining in with the cooking and of course eating it as well. The food was plentiful and very tasty and the hosts are warm, lovely and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour, it added something special to trip to Porto!

    Highly recommend booking this tour and cooking class! We had an amazing time exploring the market with Joseph and heading back to the kitchen to join Anna, both these two were amazing hosts and made for great entertainment. The food and wine back in the kitchen were delicious and it was great to have the opportunity to assist in every step of making the dishes. An awesome experience to learn about Portuguese culture and food.

    Met Anna at the market and spent an amazing hour learning how to purchase many Portuguese cooking essential for our meal. Travelled back to the cooking school and met Joseph . We had a lovely multi course meal with many appetizers to keep us full while the main course was cooking. Even made a lovely dessert! Wine was great and the cooking instruction/demonstration was great. You can participate as much or as little on the cooking. Anna and Joseph were charming, patient, adaptable and great teachers. Yum!!!

    The entire experience was fantastic! The tour of the market was interesting, and the cooking facility was set up wonderfully. We tried a variety of traditional foods and dishes as well as helped to prepare parts of each course. Our guides/chefs were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This is an experience that I will not forget!

    It was fabulous start to finish. Joseph and Ana were amazing! Would strongly recommend. We were 1 group of eight which really made it special.

On a 5 minute metro trip, passing the upper level of the iconic "Luis I" bridge we we will reach "Jardim do Morro ", with one of the best views about the city of Porto. From there it is less than 5 minutes walk to our kitchen space. Then you will learn how to cook the Portuguese traditional meal. We encourage some of our guests to participate in small steps, but if you just want to watch, enjoy the meal and the conversation it's perfectly fine. It's important to understand that this tour is designed to be a showcooking, with a possible small participation, not a full participation where you prepare all or a large part of your meal. Food you will have during the tour: - Olives, lupines, grilled sausage, Alheira with marmalade mayonnaise, Cod dish, Pastel de Nata. The food provided is not suitable for vegetarians and lactose intolerant. Participants who are not at the meeting point at the scheduled time will miss the market visit.
