We booked a trip via agency CST Tropea online. It seems like the price remains the same if you book via agency or directly with Savadori Navigazione. The price in June 2023 was 60 € per adult + 5 € tax and 40 € child + 5 € tax. The organization of the trip was very good. The boat took us from Tropea port at 7:45. There are coffee and snacks for reasonable prices on board. The way to our first stop was kind of adventurous because the sea was not very calm. Fortunately we were not seasick (some of the passengers were) and even had a chance to see dolphins. There are three stops - Volcano, Lipari and Stromboli. All of them are absolutely amazing places. There is around an hour and half to explore the site, which is not a lot, but I understand there can't be more due to the long way back to Tropea. Personally, I would love to spend more time on the beach of Volcano, since there is a thermal spring just in the sea - few meters from the beach. All of the places are focused on tourists, so you will find tens of souvenir and other tourist-tempting shops, restaurants and gelaterias. Overall, it was a great day and I would highly recommend this trip if you are spending your holidays in Tropea or nearby. We took our 4 year-old son and he was excited. I did not take my 2 year-old daughter though. You can take your kid up to 2 y free of charge but I personally cannot imagine she would enjoy the long cruise. Especially when it was really hard to move around due to the wild sea.

The natural wonders of the Aeolian islands are certainly worth seeing however I’m not so sure that we would highly recommend this particular tour for English speaking people especially given that we clearly articulated that we were from Australia and spoke English… and all the guides spoke in Italian and German! Apparently they were only 4 English speaking people on our tour… So we had to go and ask for advice from the only person who could speak English fluently… but we totally missed out on facts and history… Fortunately we were able to use our phones. In essence this was essentially a ferry taking us to the places. The boat was pretty comfortable and the crew were nice …. It was good because they were restricted to having only 100 guests on the boat. It was interesting going to Lipari and the meal that we had at a restaurant in the piazza was lovely … Vulcano was also interesting. The black beach … the sulphur smell.. The highlight was definitely seeing Stromboli. We also had the opportunity to see dolphins which was pretty cool!

The crew was awesome and the itinerary was the perfect pace. 3 hours on each island was the perfect amount of time and Stromboli at night did not disappoint. Very easy boarding process and the crew was great!

Personale ma soprattutto la guida preparatissima e disponibili tutti.
Fare tre isole in una giornata è stancante ma non dipende dall’organizzazione che fa di tutto per mettere a proprio agio i passeggeri.
Un improvement per i vari imbarchi magari renderebbe l’esperienza migliore.

7.45 am Departure from the Port of Tropea.

Possibility of a swim in the hot/thermal waters. Five minutes away from Porto di Levante, there are instead, the Black Beaches where you can take advantage of a swim or simply walk barefoot on the shoreline

There are many activities that can be undertaken on the island: such as visiting the Archaeological Museum of Lipari; walking on the main street; lunch in restaurants or delicatessens; boat tour of the island.
Swimming at the beach is not recommended, as you should rent a taxi to get to the nearest beaches.
