What to expect
This is the biggest park in Warsaw from 18th century, once located in the suburbs, now in the center. Stroll there, admiring Chopin's monument where in summer Sundays piano recitals are played, see palaces and pavilions there, amphitheater, fountains and sculptures.
It is reconstructed 16th c. gate leading to the Old Town, destroyed during WWII in 90%, but paistakingly restored to its historical design.
Though totally destroyed in 1943, there is a lot to see: Rappaport monumennt dedicated to heroes of ghetto, Mila 18, place where bunker of leaders of uprising was situated, 19 memorial stones dedicated to those who entered the tragic history of Polish Jews in warsaw, Umschlagplatz memorial, marking the place where railway station was located, from which deportation action to Treblinka expermination camp started. And recenly built, very active Museum of the history of Polish Jews called Polin.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
