Great tour and fascinating never before heard stories and history of the area. Our guide was great and an absolutely riveting story teller. She did an awesome job of making us fell like it was 1892 again. The history alone makes for great tales and you are left with the feeling of the spirits whose unfinished business keeps them close to home. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience. Our guide was amazing. He was friendly and knew a lot about the local history. I wish it could have gone longer.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made our tour amazing. We had a great time getting to learn about all of the local history and lore, we never knew was right under our feet. If you have lived in North Carolina all of your life or it is your fist time here, I would recommend this tour to anyone as there is something for everyone.

Entertaining storytelling about the history of the area- our guide had interesting details about the people who settled Salem and Winston that really made the past come alive

The presentation is very story-driven. It is well paced and a good length. It's great being outside and walking throughout the city. The guide helped us envision what the landscape looked like 150 years ago. The ghost stories aren't horrific, but they stick with you and help you remember the history. IMO it was a little too creepy for kids under 10, especially at the end when it was dark outside. But it's appropriate for older kids and all adults.

Great experience! It was fascinating to learn so much history in a short amount of time. The tour guides were knowledgeable and fantastic storytellers. Went home with a list of books and further research topics. Both my husband and I recommend it- go you will have fun and learn a thing or two!

Our tour guide did a fantastic job and shared a lot of historical knowledge. We really enjoyed our tour, and we were sad when it came to an end. It was very interesting, and we learned a lot of history. Great experience and a great way to spend the evening.

The tour was truly a great history lesson about winston-salem that set up the back drop for some truly spook stories. Topher was amazing.

Topher spoke in depth with his wealth of knowledge on the important impacts that directly affected the life and creation of Winston-Salem. He touched upon the main points and families as to who? The why? The where? And, the how? The what, though? Was kind of shocking. I think everyone who attended last night spent more time with their jaws dropped then, not due to the unexpected tidbits thrown in by Topher that shows how much time he truly spent into learning the grandeur History and including his own personal experiences while living and touring among those who once lived here in Winston -Salem.

Gretchen_M

I enjoyed learning about the hotel that burned down and why people came to Winston Salem for the cool breezes.
