    Experience the ancient craft of Delft blue pottery and paint your own Delft blue tile at a unique location in the center of Amsterdam! Under the guidance of a professional painter, you will learn about the history of Delft blue pottery and then create your own design on a tile. Enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or lemonade as you work and receive tips from the painter to ensure a beautiful result. Once your tile is finished, it will be glazed and fired, ready for you to pick up or have it sent to you. The workshops are given to small groups of 2 to 15 people and are available from Wednesday to Sunday.     Although my sister is the artist in the family, I found the class a lot of fun and easy. The shop downstairs was amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

    This was a really fun few hours, not only learning the painting techniques and choosing a template, but it was amazing to see the results after firing. Very recommended if you like drawing/painting, but any artistic ability isn't needed - it turns out gorgeous no matter what.

    Wow! I am not remotely an artist and could barely trace lines but my tile is an awesome souvenir of my trip to Amsterdam. This is one of the best activities I have ever participated in. It’s worth the money.

    This was a very fun experience. Barbara was a great teacher and made the class comfortable with the process and helped and gave advice along the way. Because of the firing process I have to wait a couple of weeks to have the tile shipped to me but I can’t wait to see the end result.

    Absolutely lovely! Barbara explain to us how the painting works, let us try shades in a sample tile and tgen we choose oyr own tile! A delighful experience! Mind that the tiles need to go to the oven to turn into blue, so you eill have yoyrs back in a couple of days.

    What to expect

    While enjoying a nice cup of coffee, tea or lemonade you will get a brief introduction about the history of Delft blue pottery. After the instructions you will quickly get to work with your own tile. There will always be a professional painter who will give you the right tips for a good result. When the tile is ready, we will continue to glaze it and fire it. This is also the reason that you can pick up the tile about 14 days later at one of our branches in Delft, Amsterdam or Putten. Of course we can also send the tiles (for a small fee). We give workshops to small groups of 2 to 15 people. If you want to follow a workshop on a different day or time, please contact us. We are happy to discuss the options with you. Workshops are possible on Wednesday through Sunday at 2.30 p.m. Minimum number of participants: 2 Maximum number of participants: 15 Duration: 1.5 hours Including coffee, tea, lemonade and a delicious Dutch treat Price adult € 39.00 Price child 6-12 years € 29.00 (only when accompanied by an adult) The workshops are given in the 'De Munt' building on Muntplein in Amsterdam Only on reservation
