This was an amazing learning experience my wife found and arranged for us due to my strong interest in WWII. Pete is incredibly knowledgeable and a fine teacher who has assembled a truly remarkable collection of weapons and artifacts. We learned the background on weapons used by the major WWII participants, saw fascinating artifacts and documents of the era, and were able to handle the multitude of original weapons. It is most informative to compare and find out the differences in their weights, handling, loading and capacities. The 6.5 hour session was exciting from beginning to end. The final aspect was selecting one of the original pistols, rifles and submachineguns to actually fire. This gave a much deeper appreciation for what WWII soldiers did and experienced. We concluded with firing a 30 cal. US machine gun as used by American troops. Awesome!! For anyone with an interest in WWII, this is a truly outstanding experience not available anywhere else to our knowledge. Highly recommended!

This was a FANTASTIC way to spend the day in NH. It was a gift for my bf who is a history fanatic and a weapons owner. It was great to see him be able to geek out with someone who knew just as much and had just as much passion for the topic!! He is a seasoned gun owner and I am a total newbie and the instructor was very good at helping both of us feel confident and comfortable I cannot recommend this enough!!!

Pete of Historical Shooting Inc. really has a lot of knowledge! Before my son and I got to the actual shooting, he gave us a lot of really interesting info on the guns and their place in history. And what a collection of all kinds of fire arms! The actual shooting of the guns was amazing as well.

What to expect
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about, handle, and actually fire an assortment of WW2 era small arms at our rural outdoor range.
You have seen them in movies and video games, and here is your chance to get some trigger time with these historic guns.
After an indoor class where we will go over the history and background to dozens of small arms used in WW2, participants will select their favorite rifle, pistol and submachinegun to fire. We'll also set up a crew served belt fed machine gun.
Each participant will fire a full magazine from a pistol, battle rifle, submachine gun and a 20-round belt from a belt fed machine gun under direct supervision of an instructor.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing & footwear for the outdoors. This is an outdoor activity. You should come prepared for the weather and to kneel, sit or lay on the ground as needed.
Prior experience with shooting is not necessary. All shooting is done using the techniques used in the 1940s, which means pistol shooting is done one handed and rifle shooting is done from the right shoulder using the stances taught in the WW2 era.
Class size is limited to four except by special arrangement.
