Je suis revenue ravie de mon séjour au pays-basque où Serge nous a servi de guide pendant 4 jours.
Si vous recherchez une personne qui connaît sa région, et qui est prête à vous la faire découvrir et à partager sa culture, allez-y !
Je faisais partie d'un petit groupe de 4 personnes passionnées de photographie en septembre 2017 (Tripadvisor n'autorise pas cette date ) et Serge nous a guidé pendant 4 jours au Pays Basque : la découverte des incontournables (Hendaye, Socoa, St Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Bayonne, Espelette mais également des endroits moins connus : les hameaux de Sare, le village d'Aïnoha, rencontre avec un cultivateur de piment d'Espelette (directement dans sa serre de séchage, où il nous a expliqué le processus, ses critères de qualité, les critères de l'AOP Espelette... et nous avons même assisté à une séance de pulvérisation), un petit village perdu dans la montagne de l'autre côté de la frontière espagnole...
Un des points forts de Serge qui est également photographe c'est d'être au bon endroit au bon moment : il sait quel moment de la journée la lumière est la plus intéressante à tel ou tel endroit. Et en cas de météo défavorable à l'endroit prévu, il nous suggère d'autres lieux et on modifie le programme ensemble.
Serge n'hésite pas à prodiguer ses conseils, en photo bien sûr, mais également pour éviter les boutiques attrape-touristes (il y en a quelques unes à Espelette...) ; il a également de très bonnes connaissances de la culture basque qu'il partage en toute simplicité.
Et comme je poursuivais mon séjour dans le pays Basque de quelques jours, il m'a conseillé des endroits à voir, à découvrir et à photographier que nous n'avions pas vus lors de ces 4 jours. Que demander de plus ?

Passionné par sa région et la culture basque, Serge nous emmène à travers les lieux, découvrir de belles histoires.
Sur la base de son travail photographique construit autour des ombres et de la lumière, il nous invite à avoir un regard simple et poétique sur notre environnement. La technique photographique n'est pas au cœur du partage, mieux vaut la maîtriser un peu, chacun à sa mesure, et se laisser conduire au cœur des sujets proposés.
Je suis plutôt novice, mais ai fait la balade avec un photographe amateur très expérimenté. Chacun y a trouvé son compte.

What to expect

Then we continue towards Guéthary the pearl of the Basque country with its art-deco architecture and its fishing port coiled at the foot of the cliff. Lunch along the ocean.
We continue our Saint-Jean de Luz, the fishing port of the Basque country with its 18th century shipowners' houses. Photos of the port, the bay and the fort of Socoa.
