Dena was very informative and wonderful person for the tour. O my did three bars and unfortunately we had already done two of them. But the stories were great.

complete waste of money. We met our guide for this outside of a historic bar for a boos and booze pub crawl. Didn’t go inside that one. Started at another which was closed when we got there. Terrible planning. Second closed as well. Someone needs to be better informed when taking $34 per person. The guide was nice enough but no real ghost stories He was awkward. He pointed to a few historical signs along the way. Third spot was a great bar with a fabulous view. Over $100 for three drinks and no historical significance. Next stop was the JW Marriot bar?!?! No one wanted to stay. The entire group was puzzled y that. Final stop was an Irish pub. Again no historical significance or “ghost” stories associated with that either. I’m not sure how they can bill this as a a “Boos and Booze” bar crawl. We have done others in other places and this falls well short. Very disappointing

We were really excited to go on the tour, but it was not what we expected. The places we "saw" were just plaques on a side of a building with a lot of pointing to different places from our tour guide. Our tour guide tried his best, but he wasn't a great story teller and the stories were pretty boring. Additionally, the tour described 8 bars and our tour guide told us we would see 2 maybe 3. The first bar we went to was closed (shocked it wasn't checked ahead of time that they would be open) and so we went to a different bar around the block. This bar had no stories to go along with why we were there and one Long Island drink was $25 with a required 20% service charge. We ended up leaving the tour an hour in because of how awful it was. Very disappointed and not worth the $.

The tour was ok. Our tor guide was full of knowledge but was not the best at presentation. In order for these tours to really be fun, the guide needs to be super engaging and entertaining, this one was not.

Our guide was very nice and did his best, but this tour was not anything like we were expecting. The tour was advertised as two hours but lasted only one hour. For being a “pub crawl” we only went into one bar other than the one we started at. Most of the tour was walking around, stopping in front of buildings, hearing a little story and then moving on. The “ghost stories” were anecdotal stories about one time sightings or how a ghost might be in here because this person frequented this place. I learned a few little history lessons, but other than that felt like I wasted $30. In reality I’m glad it only lasted one hour because it was pretty painful and I couldn’t wait to do anything else.

We enjoyed our time with Anton Hooper. He did a very good job. The history he told was very interesting. He took us to places we did not even know about. We had a great time. Thank you, Anton and GOD bless you.

What a blast!! I wasn't sure what to expect but once we saw that our guide, John, was decked out in a cape with a lantern we knew it would be a fun night. John was extremely knowledgeable about local ghost stories and history; the fact that had a background in theater made him all the more entertaining. We stopped by The Hamilton Hotel, Round Robin in the Willard, Proper 21 and Elephant & Castle after meeting at Old Ebbitt's Grill; at each location John regaled us with tales that were fascinating. We were even given our own ectoplasmic detectors and at some spots there seemed to be a bit of "action!" I'm not one to believe in this sort of thing (the ectoplasmic detection, that is) but the entire night was one to remember. Or not, depending on how many drinks you had! Many of the places were too busy for a largish group of people so not all the stops listed were actually visited but that didn't matter - you still get the history and stories no matter where you wind up. And if you're lucky enough to have John as your guide you won't want the night to end! This was the highlight of our D.C. vacation!

Our tour guide Anton was very knowledgeable and fun without being over the top. The best parts were the good stories tied into history. I only wish there had been more stops associated with the ghost stories. And for a pub crawl we didn’t get much booze, so I wish they’d incorporated local beer tastings with the tour. (Alcohol was not included with the tour.)
