What to expect
Visit the Louvre's must-see attractions instead of waiting in the museum's infamously huge lineups. Your knowledgeable guide will reveal hidden and interesting information most visitors never learn about the on display pieces of art. The "Mona Lisa," "Venus de Milo," and "Winged Victory of Samothrace" can all be seen. A 4,000-year-old "Great Sphinx of Tanis" and other ancient Greek and Roman artefacts are also included in the tour, along with other notable works by Da Vinci and Raphael and French Romantic era highlights. The sensation is enhanced by sculptures like "Dying Slave" by Michelangelo and "Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss" by Antonio Canova. Before Louis XIV moved the court to Versailles, you may have a taste of the Louvre's past as the Royal Palace in the Apollo Gallery.
