This was a great tour and Johnathan is an amazing guide. I’ve traveled quite a bit and never had someone with his level of expertise and education. His immediate recall of even minuscule details is phenomenal. If you’re traveling through and are looking for a tour this is the best.

Our guide, Jonathan Dale, was by far the best guide we have ever had. We have taken many guided excursions from the cruises we have been on, but none have been as good as Jonathan. Very professional, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English.

Highly recommend using Jonathan Dale as a private Guide to tour the D-Day Landing Beaches. He is knowledgeable and personable. Drove us from LeHavre to Normandy and gave us a tour of Point de Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. He was a storehouse of knowledge, providing detail and photos to enhance the experience. Provided a good map of the five beaches along with names of the Allied leaders who commanded the advance at each beach . His commentary was factual, insightful and demonstrated the reverence we all feel about standing on and looking at one of the most important places in American history. He also took us to a wonderful French restaurant for lunch. Only suggestion if we were to do it again - spend less time at Point de Hoc, leaving more time for Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. We would hire Johnathan again if we go back to spend more time at the American Cemetery, the Museum and the other beaches.

We had an incredible experience with Jonathan Dale as our guide to visit Normandy, Omaha Beach, Pointe du hoc, and the German and American cemeteries. Jonathan was waiting for us at our port and we traveled in comfort to the Normandy coast. As we traveled, Jonathan told us about the area we were traveling through and it's history. It's obvious that Jonathan has a passion for history and is extremely knowledgeable. At Pointe du hoc he talked about what happened before and on D-Day and took us down into the bunkers. It was a surreal experience to be there. On our way back to Le Havre he took us through the charmingly beautiful town of Bayeux, where he lives...gorgeous French countryside. Jonathan is friendly and personable, and speaks excellent English with a charming French accent (think Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast!). We communicated when the reservation was made and a few days before our scheduled tour. We highly reccommend this tour with Jonathan as your guide. Merci, Jonathan...our best to you!

If you go to Normandy getting a private tour is a must. We booked a daylong tour with Jonathan Dale for our party of 8. Jonathan was our personal guide/historian for the day. He was pleasant, spoke good English, and so knowledgeable. If you make the time to go to Normandy, spend the money and get yourself a private tour. You won't go wrong with Jonathan! Thanks for making our trip and first step so good Jonathan!
