I can highly recommend this course! My 14 year old son and I undertook this course and we both felt that we had learned so much; from mastering basic technical skills, learning more about our cameras, and how to compose photographs. It is wonderful way to get to know the Waterloo and South Bank area, and is a truly enjoyable experience. Matt is a patient and talented teacher, and we would love to do more of his courses in the future. Many thanks!

We were a group of retirees wanting to learn how to use our phone cameras more effectively. Matt was brilliant. He ensured we all got involved and managed our different skill levels so well. We had fun, we learnt a lot and are now much more confident. Thank you.

My daughter and I had the most amazing afternoon in London with Matthew. We learnt so much and now understand our cameras! Matthew has a very gentle teaching style and we both came away excited to push our selves further and with a note book full of tips and advice on settings for our upcoming trip to see the northern lights. We would 100% recommend Matthew to anyone looking to learn more about photography and will be booking another session with Matthew once we’ve had a chance to practice what we have learnt today.

I was bought this course as a gift, after buying a new camera and being a total beginner, with little understanding of how to really use the cameras functions. The course was a really fantastic day learning more about my camera, its functions and tips to take great photos. Matthew was excellent throughout the session and provided plenty of useful advice and showed techniques to great photos. A great instructor and a really great workshop. The route was really well considered and provided for a range of scenarios that challenged us to think and put to use the skills and technique we'd learnt throughout the day. Matthew was really friendly and approachable and facilitated a really great day. Would recommend to anyone looking to learn more about their camera.

I did the Shutter Speed Photography Course at Tower Bridge and St. Pauls. I learnt so much more in just a couple of hours with Matthew than months of learning myself online! It was a really fun experience and I would recommend to anyone learning photography. I came away with really great photos and tips to use going forwards.

I booked the Richmond Park Wildlife Photography Course for my father’s birthday present. It was absolutely epic! Having had my D SLR camera for 5 years and only ever using the auto setting, I was pretty excited to join this course with my dad. Matthew made sure he had an understanding of the levels and experience of the group, and made sure everyone understood how to set up their cameras properly for wildlife photography. He then also ensured that we learned how to adapt based on different lighting and scenery, how to frame a winning shot, and how to make the most of our cameras. For the more advanced he was also able to individually adapt to make sure they could learn new techniques. Aside from the wonderful scenery of Richmond park and beautiful wildlife, it was incredible to be in a course where we were encouraged and coached rather than lectured at. I can’t believe my camera can do what it can now do! Thanks Matthew for a fabulous course - my Instagram now looks awesome.

Would definitely recommend the workshop with Matthew to anyone. I have been using my camera for years without understanding the technical basics and I now feel confident I can progress and improve thanks to the great tips Matthew gave me :) Matthew has a great personality and easily communicates his passion for travel and photography. Excellent course!

We had such a great day with Matthew. We learnt so much, not only about the camera but composition and how to approach taking photographs. The nest day we went out taking photographs on our own and already can see a huge difference. I would highly recommend this course.

Matthew was brilliant, we had never used a camera on manual before so he had to start with the absolute basics for us, even going through all the settings on the camera. He was knowledgeable and patient, gave us just the right level of detail along with lots of practice. He’s also a genuinely nice guy very easy to get on with and made it a very enjoyable 4 hours, which flew by!

What an excellent course. Like many people I have a digital SLR and have never felt like I had a clue what I was doing out of auto mode. 6 hours later and I feel a lot more confident and can actually take half decent photos. I'd thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who finds iso f/stops and shutter speeds a bit baffling
