The air was still and quiet, a welcome change from the bustling Medina. Local families were enjoying picnics by the water, and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains provided a stunning backdrop. Legend has it that sultans of old used this place for romantic rendezvous, a rather dark twist to the otherwise peaceful setting, where they would drown their chosen mistress of the night into the pond. I found myself lost in thought, contemplating the stories these ancient gardens could tell. I took a leisurely stroll around the perimeter, soaking in the panoramic views and capturing a few photos to remember the moment. I didn't go inside the pavilion, as some reviews suggested the entrance fee wasn't worth it, and instead enjoyed the free access to the gardens themselves. I started with a glass of Moroccan wine, followed by the chef's signature dish: pulled beef with truffle. It was absolutely divine. The live jazz music added to the atmosphere, making it a truly memorable dining experience. The service was impeccable, and I felt like I was transported to another world.
