Today was a day of gentle exploration and quiet reflection in Elmina. Leaving the heavier historical sites behind, I sought out the pockets of serenity that this coastal town also holds. Remembering Olivia, I imagined her wandering these paths with me, her auburn hair catching the sunlight as she admired the flowers. I made a mental note to find a similar, smaller garden back in Toronto to remind us of this peaceful place.

It was the perfect way to end a day of exploration, surrounded by good company and the sounds of laughter.

Tomorrow, I plan to visit Kwame Nkrumah Hall Park and Jubilee Park in Cape Coast, continuing my exploration of Ghana's historical and cultural landmarks. I am also looking forward to trying breakfast at One Africa Health Resort, lunch at Araba Chop Bar, and dinner at G. & I. Spot. And perhaps, if the mood strikes, I'll end the day with a drink at Koli's Pub.
