Today was a day of conquering peaks and soaking in panoramic vistas. I set out to explore the heights of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, and the experience left me breathless—literally and figuratively. The morning began with a hearty breakfast at Els Puis Hotel Restaurant in Esterri d'Àneu. The cozy, family-run establishment exuded warmth, and the traditional Catalan fare was the perfect fuel for the day’s adventures. With a satisfied stomach and a spring in my step, I set off towards Portarró d'Espot. The sun was shining, but there was a pleasant coolness in the air, a refreshing change from the Berlin summer I'm used to. It was a pleasant end to a day filled with adventure.

Tomorrow, I plan to explore Bosc del Gerdar and Circ de Colomers. I’ve heard that Bosc del Gerdar is home to towering fir trees and enchanting trails, while Circ de Colomers boasts a chain of stunning lakes and rugged peaks. I'm particularly excited about Circ de Colomers, which sounds like something straight out of a Nordic saga.

As I reflect on today's journey, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. The stars shone brilliantly, and the Milky Way stretched across the heavens like a river of light. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

I find myself already anticipating tomorrow's adventures, eager to see what other natural wonders await me in this breathtaking corner of Spain. The thought of trekking through Bosc del Gerdar and beholding the beauty of Circ de Colomers fills me with excitement. This solo journey is proving to be exactly what I needed—a chance to reconnect with nature, challenge myself physically, and find inspiration in the stunning landscapes of the Pyrenees.
