My day began with a delightful breakfast at Vico Restaurant. The aroma of freshly baked pastries and strong Argentine coffee filled the air, setting the perfect tone for a day of reflection and enjoyment. I savored each bite, knowing it was one of my last tastes of Mendoza's incredible cuisine on this trip. After breakfast, I decided to spend some time at the Park Hyatt Mendoza. I strolled through its gardens, taking in the serene atmosphere and admiring the beautiful architecture. The hotel, set in an impressive building in front of Independencia Square, exudes a sense of luxury and tranquility. It was a perfect spot to gather my thoughts and appreciate the journey I’ve undertaken.

For lunch, I ventured to Estancia La Florencia, a restaurant known for its traditional Argentine cuisine. The aroma of grilled meats wafted through the air, enticing my senses. I indulged in a mouthwatering asado, savoring the perfectly cooked beef and the flavorful chimichurri sauce. The restaurant’s warm and inviting atmosphere made it a truly memorable dining experience. In the afternoon, I treated myself to a shopping excursion at The Vines of Mendoza: Tasting Room. I wanted to find a special bottle of Malbec to take back home to Berlin, a tangible reminder of my time in Mendoza. The tasting room offered a wide selection of boutique wines, each with its own unique story. I carefully chose a bottle that I knew Jürgen and Sophie would appreciate, a taste of Argentina to share with my family.

As the sun began to set, I made my way to Casa del Visitante for my final dinner in Mendoza. I opted for the tasting menu, a culinary journey through Mendoza's diverse flavors. Each dish was expertly paired with a local wine, enhancing the overall experience. The empanadas, rumored to be the best in Argentina, lived up to their reputation. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Sitting there, sipping on a glass of robust Malbec, I couldn't help but reflect on the past two weeks. This solo trip to Mendoza was more than just a vacation; it was a journey of self-discovery, a chance to reconnect with my passions, and an opportunity to immerse myself in a culture so different from my own. The stunning landscapes, the exquisite wines, and the warm-hearted people have left an indelible mark on my soul.

I remember when Jürgen and I first met, he told me about his dream to design a sustainable community in a beautiful, natural setting. Seeing the way the wineries here integrate with the landscape, respecting and enhancing the environment, reminds me of his vision. It inspires me to continue seeking out these kinds of experiences, ones that blend beauty, culture, and sustainability.

As I prepare to leave Mendoza tomorrow, I carry with me a treasure trove of memories and experiences. I’ll be flying from Mendoza to Buenos Aires, and then back to Berlin, filled with stories to share with Jürgen and Sophie. This trip has reignited my passion for travel, reminding me of the importance of stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing the unknown.
