Perched atop a hill overlooking the town of Montepulciano, this Renaissance masterpiece exuded an aura of serenity and grace. Inside, the sanctuary was bathed in soft, natural light, illuminating the beautiful frescoes and sculptures that adorned the walls. As the afternoon drew to a close, we made a stop at Il giardino di Rubegni Beatrice, a charming shop in Siena. I was looking for a gift for my daughter-in-law, Miguel's wife. The shop was filled with unique, handcrafted items, from ceramics to jewelry to textiles. I finally settled on a beautiful hand-painted vase, knowing she would appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship. We started with the *crostini misti Senesi*, toasted bread spread with chicken leaver, truffles & mushrooms, pepper cream, and caramellized onion. For our main courses, I ordered the *pici all’aglione*, a traditional Tuscan pasta dish with a rich tomato and garlic sauce. Elena opted for the *cinghiale in umido*, wild boar stewed in red wine and herbs. The food was simple yet delicious, showcasing the fresh, local ingredients that Tuscany is known for. The restaurant has a lovely decor and nice ambiance that let visitors feel relaxed.
