It’s days like these that remind me why we embarked on this Tasmanian adventure, seeking both relaxation and exploration with David and Sophie.

Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Edge of the Bay Resort. The views overlooking Oyster Bay were simply breathtaking, with the pink granite mountains of the Freycinet Peninsula painting a stunning backdrop. I was pleased to see a selection of Tassie wines and beers, and I couldn't resist buying a bottle of local Pinot Noir for our evening dinner. The friendly service and welcoming atmosphere made it a pleasant experience. Sophie was delighted to find a selection of local candies, and we let her choose a small treat. It's these small, local businesses that add character and charm to a place.

We'll start the day with breakfast at Freycinet Lodge, fuel up for the hike with lunch at Fish At Freycinet, and will enjoy dinner at Granite Freycinet. I'm also hoping to find some unique souvenirs at the Freycinet National Park shop. It promises to be another day filled with adventure and natural beauty.
