Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading to the nearest major highway. From Mobile, take I-10 East and then merge onto US-98 East toward Foley. Continue on US-98 until you reach AL-59 South. Follow AL-59 South for about 15 miles until you reach the intersection with E Beach Blvd in Gulf Shores. Turn right onto E Beach Blvd and continue for about 1.5 miles. The Gulf State Park Pavilion will be on your left at 22250 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. There is a parking area available, but be aware that there may be a parking fee during peak seasons.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check for local bus services that run between Mobile and Gulf Shores. You may need to transfer buses in Foley or nearby towns. Once you arrive in Gulf Shores, use a local taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the Gulf State Park Pavilion. Make sure to provide the driver with the address: 22250 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. Be sure to check schedules and routes in advance, as public transportation options may be limited.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, you can access the Gulf State Park Pavilion via the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. Start at the nearest entry point to the trail, which can be found on the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail. Follow the trail's signs leading to Gulf State Park. The Pavilion is located near the beach entrance of the park. This is a scenic route, but ensure you have a good map or GPS for navigation. Bring water and snacks, as there may not be amenities along the trail.

• Walking

  If you are already in Gulf Shores, walking to the Gulf State Park Pavilion is a great option. Depending on your starting point, head toward E Beach Blvd. Keep walking east along the beach until you reach the Pavilion. It's an approximate 30-minute walk from the center of Gulf Shores. Enjoy the coastal views along the way!
