Driving
From Gulf Shores, head east on E Beach Blvd/AL-182. Turn left onto AL-59 N/Gulf Shores Pkwy. Turn right onto Fort Morgan Rd/AL-180 E. Continue onto AL-135 S/State Park Rd. Follow State Park Rd to the park entrance. Parking is $10 per day [2, 3, 5]. Limited parking is available at popular trailheads and beach access points, especially during peak season.
Walking
If you are staying at The Lodge at Gulf State Park or the nearby campgrounds, access to the park's trails and beach is readily available by foot. Follow the marked paths from the hotel or campground to the beach or the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. The trails are well-maintained and offer scenic views of the park's diverse ecosystems. Note that the distance from The Lodge to the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier is approximately 2 miles [6].
Public Transport
The Baldwin County Transit (BCT) provides limited public transportation in the Gulf Shores area. Check the BCT website for routes and schedules to see if there is a stop near your starting location. From the nearest BCT stop, you may need to walk or take a taxi/rideshare to reach the park entrance. A single ride fare on BCT is typically around $1.25 - $2.00. Taxi or rideshare services from Gulf Shores to Gulf State Park will cost approximately $15 - $25.
