Majestic Caverns: Alabama's Underground Wonder

Majestic Caverns, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains near Childersburg, Alabama, offers a unique journey through time and nature. In 1975, Allen W. Mathis III, great-grandson of Ida Mathis, took over and renamed it DeSoto Caverns. In June 2022, the park was rebranded as Majestic Caverns to better reflect the beauty of the site.
