Driving
Dismals Canyon is located in a rural area of Northwest Alabama. From Russellville, Alabama, take US-43 S/AL-17 S towards Hamilton for approximately 12 miles. Turn left onto County Road 8. The entrance to Dismals Canyon will be on your right after a few miles. Parking is free, but limited, especially during peak season [13]. RV and bus parking is available before the bridge leading to the entrance [9]. Be aware of the bridge's weight limit [9].
