    Fort Morgan State Historic Site is located at the very end of Highway 180. From Gulf Shores, take Highway 180 West for approximately 22 miles. The drive takes about 30 minutes. There is a large parking area available near the museum. Parking is free.

    For a scenic route from Dauphin Island, take the Mobile Bay Ferry. The ferry connects SR 193 at Dauphin Island with SR 180 at Mobile Point, saving hours of driving time.
