    From Highway 59 in Gulf Shores, drive east on Highway 182 (East Beach Boulevard) for approximately 6 miles. The Gulf State Park Pavilion will be on your left (south side of the road). Parking is available in the adjacent lot. Expect to pay $10 for all-day parking.

Located within the expansive Gulf State Park, the Gulf State Park Pavilion provides a comfortable and convenient entry point to the beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Situated on East Beach Boulevard, about 6 miles east of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores, Alabama, the pavilion offers access to three miles of uncrowded beaches. The pavilion is equipped with modern amenities, including air-conditioned restrooms and showers, offering a refreshing break from the sun and sand. A snack bar provides refreshments and light meals, while shaded picnic tables offer a comfortable space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. For cooler days, a large fireplace adds a cozy touch. The pavilion is open to the public from 7:00 AM until sunset. Gulf State Park has a rich history, with the park's initial facilities constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The park officially opened in 1939 and has since become a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, an award-winning, ADA-accessible, multi-use trail system with over 28 miles of paved trails, surrounds the park's perimeter. The beach is also accessible via accessibility mats.
