If you are in downtown Cullman, start at the Cullman County Museum located at 211 2nd Ave NE. From the museum, head north on 2nd Ave NE until you reach 1st St NE. Turn left onto 1st St NE and walk until you reach the intersection with 3rd Ave NE. Continue walking straight, and you'll come to the intersection with US-31. Cross US-31 and walk along the sidewalk on the west side of the road. Follow US-31 north for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with AL-69. Turn right onto AL-69 and continue on this road for about 3 miles. You will then reach the junction with Co Rd 386. Turn left onto Co Rd 386, and you'll find Smith Lake Park just a short walk down this road.
