Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Cullman, start at the Cullman County Museum located at 211 2nd Ave NE. From the museum, head north on 2nd Ave NE until you reach 1st St NE. Turn left onto 1st St NE and walk until you reach the intersection with 3rd Ave NE. Continue walking straight, and you'll come to the intersection with US-31. Cross US-31 and walk along the sidewalk on the west side of the road. Follow US-31 north for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with AL-69. Turn right onto AL-69 and continue on this road for about 3 miles. You will then reach the junction with Co Rd 386. Turn left onto Co Rd 386, and you'll find Smith Lake Park just a short walk down this road.

• Bicycle

  Starting from downtown Cullman, begin at the Cullman County Museum. Head north on 2nd Ave NE, then take a left onto 1st St NE. Continue straight to US-31 and cross over. Head north on US-31 for about 1.5 miles. Once you reach the intersection with AL-69, turn right and follow AL-69 for about 3 miles. When you get to Co Rd 386, take a left. Smith Lake Park will be nearby, just a short bike ride down the road.

• Public Transportation

  From downtown Cullman, take the local Cullman public transit service (if available) to the nearest stop on US-31. You may need to check current schedules and routes. Once you are on US-31, you can either walk or bike from the bus stop north towards the intersection with AL-69, then turn right onto AL-69. Continue for about 3 miles, then turn left onto Co Rd 386. Smith Lake Park will be a short distance down this road.
