McDougle Hunter Camp: A Rustic Gateway to Sipsey Wilderness

McDougle Hunter Camp is a primitive camping area nestled in the heart of Bankhead National Forest, near Moulton, Alabama. This isn't a glamping destination; it's a place to immerse yourself in nature and disconnect from the modern world. During hunting season, hunters must camp in designated hunter's camps. Non-hunters primitive camping during hunting season from November 15 to January 31 require a permit. Temperatures vary significantly throughout the year, with winter lows in the 30s and summer highs in the 90s.
