Public parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis near the pier and at the adjacent North Beach Park. Parking at North Beach Park may have a fee during the summer months for non-residents, typically around $6.00. Arrive early to secure a spot.

The Fairhope Pier, often called the town's 'crown jewel' or 'town square', is more than just a structure; it's a symbol of Fairhope's identity and a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Constructed in 1895, the original wooden pier served as a commercial dock for bay boats, connecting Fairhope to other parts of Alabama and fostering economic development.Over the years, the pier has faced numerous challenges, including damage from hurricanes. A concrete pier was built in 1968 to enhance its durability. It was severely damaged by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. After renovations, the Fairhope Pier reopened on November 22, 2006.Today, the 1,448-foot pier provides a space for fishing, walking, and enjoying the scenery. Amenities include benches, covered areas, restrooms, and a marina. Adjacent to the pier is North Beach Park, featuring a rose garden, fountain, picnic tables, a duck pond, and a sandy beach. The Beach Park Tree Trail contains almost 500 species of trees.The pier is a focal point for community events, including the annual Fourth of July Festival and firework displays. Whether you're fishing, enjoying a picnic, or watching a sunset, the Fairhope Pier offers a blend of recreation, natural beauty, and community spirit.
