Quayside Art Gallery, nestled in a distinctive pink building at 17 Zaragoza Street, has been a cornerstone of Pensacola's art scene since 1973. Housed in the historic Germania Steam Fire Engine and Hose Company building, constructed in 1873, the gallery is one block north of the original wooden quays. This building once served as the headquarters for the Germania Steam Fire Engine and Hose Company. Quayside is the Southeast's largest co-op gallery, representing over 70 local artists. The three-story gallery displays a wide array of original fine arts and crafts, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, and woodworking. New art exhibitions are featured monthly on the main level, with artists constantly adding to their individual exhibits on the upper floors. Quayside Art Gallery is maintained by Pensacola Artists, Inc., a cooperative organization of more than 200 artists and associate members. The gallery is dedicated to fostering and promoting original fine arts and crafts in the West Florida region. Free guided tours are available upon request. The gallery also hosts workshops and events, including Gallery Night Pensacola, where it extends its hours to allow visitors more time to explore the art on display.
