    If you're staying in Gulf Shores near the beach, you can walk east along the beach to reach the western edge of Gulf State Park. From there, you can access the park's trails and other amenities. Note that the distance from central Gulf Shores to the park boundary is approximately 2 miles, so plan accordingly.
