Getting There

Driving

From downtown Huntsville, take Governors Drive (Highway 431) southeast towards Monte Sano Mountain. Follow Governors Drive to the top of the mountain, then turn left onto Monte Sano Boulevard. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles, then turn right onto Nolen Avenue SE. Follow Nolen Avenue for 1 mile to reach the park entrance. Expect to pay an entrance fee of $5 per adult.
Public Transport

While public transportation directly to Monte Sano State Park is limited, you can take a Huntsville city bus to a location on Governors Drive near the base of the mountain. From there, you could consider using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft to complete the journey to the park entrance.
