The exterior features stucco over brick with stone accents, while the interior boasts stunning stained glass windows crafted by Franz Mayer & Co. and Tiffany Studios. A significant event in the church's history occurred in 1906 when a major hurricane caused the steeple to collapse, leading to substantial interior damage. While repairs were made, the steeple was not replaced until 2017, giving the church its modern appearance.In 2005, Christ Church became the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast, solidifying its importance within the region.
