Getting There

• Walking

  The Experience Montgomery Visitor Center is centrally located at 1 Court Square, making it easily accessible on foot from many downtown hotels and attractions. If you're near the Alabama State Capitol, Civil Rights Memorial, or Rosa Parks Museum, it's a short walk. Simply head towards Court Square, and you'll find the visitor center on the ground floor. Metered street parking is available around Court Square, free after 5 PM and on weekends. Be aware of the signs to avoid tickets. The visitor center is near many attractions, so walking is a great way to see the city.

  Montgomery's public transportation system, The M, provides bus service to the downtown area. Several routes stop near Court Square. From the Intermodal Transfer Center, the visitor center is a short walk. A single ride on The M costs $1.50. Check The M's website or app for schedules and route information.

• Taxi/Ride-Share

  Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Montgomery. A short ride from the Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) to the visitor center will typically cost between $15 and $25, depending on traffic and demand. Be sure to confirm the fare before you begin your trip.

  The Experience Montgomery Visitor Center is located at 1 Court Square in downtown Montgomery. If driving, take I-65 to exit 172 for downtown. Follow signs to Court Square. Several parking options are available, including metered street parking around Court Square (free after 5 PM and on weekends) and nearby parking decks. Hourly rates at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center parking deck are $9, with a daily maximum of $25.30. Valet parking is also available for $33.35 per day. Additional parking is available at the Montgomery Advertiser Lot at 425 Molton Street.
