Walking
From the Alabama State Capitol, walk southwest on Dexter Avenue toward Court Street for about 0.4 miles. The Rosa Parks Museum will be on your left, across the street from the Rosa Parks Bus Stop historical marker. The walk is generally flat and takes about 8-10 minutes.
Public Transport
The Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS) has several bus routes that stop near the Rosa Parks Museum complex. From the Intermodal Center, take any MATS route that services downtown Montgomery and get off at a stop on Montgomery Street near the Troy University campus. A single ride on MATS costs $2.00.
Driving
If driving, approach the museum via I-85 or US-82. From I-85, take the Union Street exit and follow signs to downtown. From US-82, follow the signs to downtown Montgomery. Free parking is available in Troy University Montgomery parking lots. Metered street parking is also available; meters are enforced weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m , costing approximately $1 per hour. Parking is free on weekends, holidays, and evenings.
