While the hotel is no longer standing, a historic plaque marks its original spot. In the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) developed the park, leaving a lasting legacy in the form of rustic cottages, hiking trails, and other structures built in the Arts and Crafts style. Many of these original structures are still in use today.Today, Monte Sano State Park boasts over 22 miles of hiking trails and 14 miles of biking trails for all skill levels, ranging from easy strolls to challenging climbs.
