If you are starting from the Selma Interpretive Center, head south on Broad Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles, and you will reach the intersection with Alabama Avenue. Turn left onto Alabama Avenue and walk for another 0.2 miles. The Old Town Historic District will be on your right, marked by a historic marker and several old buildings. Walking is free.

From the Selma Transit Center located at 2200 Alabama Avenue, take Bus Route 1 heading towards the downtown area. Stay on the bus for 3 stops, approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the stop near Broad Street. From there, walk south on Broad Street for about 0.5 miles, then turn left onto Alabama Avenue. The Old Town Historic District will be on your right. A single ride on the Selma public bus costs $1.25.
